Hike #8: Lord Hill
January 31, 2015
Mileage: ~5-6 miles roundtrip
Elevation Gain: ?
We stayed closer to home today, heading to Lord Hill Regional Park in Snohomish. It has a nice network of trails that make it easy to wander. We aimed for the river, but ended up just following several trails in a meandering path across the park.
It was chilly and foggy but the extra moisture in the air had covered all the spiderwebs with incredible dewdrops, and it was wondrous.
I really enjoyed photographing the webs. They seem delicate at first glance, but they’re so strong. They were everywhere on the first part of the trail we took.
A sun break through the fog.
Found this spiderweb tree somewhere along the Quarry trail.
The pond along the Quarry trail.
Ida enjoying the water.
Looks like a beautiful hike.
