52 Hikes: My 2015 resolution to get out into the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest.
Oh this poor, neglected blog. Let’s see if I can spruce things up around here. I’ve never been a resolutions kind of person – I just can’t commit – but this is something I really want to do. There’s so much to see!
Just to clarify my rather loose definition of ‘hike’ for this blog: I am hoping to do a fair number of mountain and forest trails, but since my goal is one per week and time/resources/weather can be limiting, I’m also going to include any extended walking that gets me out of the house, like long neighborhood rambles or city walks we’ll take on our trip to Europe, or any shorter jaunts to National/State Parks/Forests, where we might not walk or climb as much but are still out in the wilderness.
I’m also going to cheat a little and start in December 2014, because we did a river hike one weekend and then a lake trail in the North Cascades the next. And it will probably be mostly pictures, because that’s what I do on hikes – I photograph things.
So follow along if you’d like. It’s going to be a good year.
