Hike #14: Denny Creek

Elevation Gain: 400 ft

This is a hike I’d like to do again on a slightly less damp day. Clare and I started with the puppy around nine and it was a fairly short hike along the creek and over a nice bridge before we reached the crossing.

We opted not to cross. Safety first! It may have been fine, but we weren’t sure how high the water would get later in the day, and it we were quite damp by this point anyway. Plus, with the dog and the camera, we each would have been a little less sure of our footing. Best not to risk it.

Still, nice creek views and a nice trail to get us out of the house. Truly the most exciting part was getting to try out my new tiny day pack and my water reservoir! I finally caved and purchased them last month, and I’m totally obsessed with them both.
