Hike #15: Heather Lake

We did a great lake hike this weekend to get back into our pattern of weekly hikes. Clare’s mother was in town and joined us, which made it even better. The Heather Lake hike was somewhat muddy and snowy near the top, but the views around the lake were totally worth the effort.

As usual, we enjoyed mushroom-spotting. We also got to see a lot of new, unfurling ferns.

Even some blue sky. The snow was melting off the trees for most of our hike, making us glad of rain jackets.
