Hike #16: Rattlesnake Dance Ridge Trail
April 5, 2015
Mileage: 2 miles roundtrip
Elevation Gain: 1250 ft
It was a two-hike weekend. I had been craving a change of scenery, and a quick trip over the pass to Ellensburg seemed like just the thing.
The trail was short and steep, and the scenery was incredible almost immediately after setting out. I love ridge trails because you’re surrounded on all sides by such incredible views.
The wildflowers were also phenomenal on this hike. I really enjoyed seeing such different plant life from what we’ve been experiencing in the Cascades the past several weeks.
At the top and on the way back down I got to try out using the new wide-angle attachment to my camera. Made for some neat shots. We stopped just at the summit this time, but sometime I’d like to return and go farther. The views were amazing.
Beautiful pic’s!! You two look so cute. Love you and miss you lots!!
